On the feast of All Saints and the day after Halloween, Choral Chameleon commemorates and evokes the departed with a stunning array of new and obscure works, as well as new pieces, written in honor of this life and the next and everything in between.  Works include the WORLD PREMIERE of “Sempiterna” by 2009-2010 Composer-In-Residence, Jeffrey Parola as well as Berlioz, Schütz, Talma, Tori Amos and Edwin Hawkins, among others.

Wonderful texts by Christopher Smart and The Brothers Grimm provide engaging lessons for the listener; Choral Chameleon delivers them in the form of musical nursery rhymes and fables.  Works for choir and piano four-hands include the world premiere of Such Beautiful Things by Jeffrey Parola with libretto by Tony Asaro, based on “The Traveling Musicians” by The Brothers Grimm, plus Conrad Susa’s Hymns for the Amusement of Children, Irving Fine’s Alice In Wonderland Songs and John Rutter’s Five Childhood Lyrics.
